Founded in 1927 in Jasso, Hidalgo, they later moved to Mexico City. The club is known for its success, including nine Primera División championships and six CONCACAF Champions Cup titles. They were also the first CONCACAF team to reach the Copa Libertadores final, losing to Boca Juniors in 2001.
